Natural Cure for Vitiligo



“Skin” is one of the major issues discussed today. Nowadays, not only women, but men are also entangled in this matter. A problem associated with skin is Vitiligo. It is depigmentation or discoloration of some part of skin. There is specific type of cells, named as Melanocytes; they are responsible for the coloration of skin. Sometimes, they become unable to accomplish their function; as a consequence, irregular shaped patches of white color begin to appear, called Vitiligo.

Vitiligo can victimize any race of people but mostly it affects the people with darker skin. It is initiated with the loss of pigmentation of some part of skin. Later on, it spreads. Although there is no cure to this disease but the main purpose of its medication is to stop or decelerate the increase of depigmentation.
There are multiple theories about the reasons of Vitiligo. It may be caused by immune system disorder. In some families, the tendency of Vitiligo is more which depicts the heredity factor as a reason. Emotional disturbance is another cause. Autoimmune thyroid disease may also be the reason.
When one talks about the diagnoses, there are multiple symptoms, given as follows:
·         Milky-white patches on the skin
·         Whitening or graying of the hair
·         Loss of color of mucous membrane
·         Change in the color of Retina

Ginkgo biloba

Ginkgo biloba is a useful herb which is used for the amelioration of memory. “Experimental and Clinical Dermatology” have found that this herb is also helpful in the natural treatment of Vitiligo. It improves the immune system. 40mg Ginkgo biloba thrice a day is really effective for the people with Vitiligo and the potential of adverse reaction is also low.
Khella
Another effective herb is Khella. It is also known as Amni visnaga. It is used for the treatment of urinary stones and asthma. It has a major constituent, named as Khellin. It can be used to treat Vitligo. Although, there are side effects of photosensitivity and phototoxicity but these effects become the desired effects in the case of Vitiligo. UVA and UVB light therapies are used in conjunction.

Picorrhiza kurroa

Picorrhiza kurroa has the ability to improve the immune system. That’s why it is used to treat Vitiligo. According to BMC Dermatology, this herb is photosensitizing agent. It is effective in the treatment of Vitiligo.

Although Vitiligo cannot be cured completely but there are some herbs which help in treating the disease. So Vitiligo sufferers should take it seriously. They should try to get these herbs. These can make their lives better.
Coconut oil
Coconut oil is highly useful for the treatment of Vitiligo. It moisturizes the skin. It is a source of Vitamin E. It gives nourishment to the skin due to which you can see a glow on your face.
Black cumin
Black Cumin seeds can treat different diseases. These seeds help in producing melanin cell which are responsible for the pigmentation or coloration of the skin. Black cumin is mixed with Coconut oil, Psoralea corylifolia and Barberry root. In this way, a special oil is manufactured which is really effective to cure Vitiligo.
